DERIVE Hair Wellness is our scalp protocol, and we deliver it in combination with microneedling. That combination is the point: microneedling creates controlled micro-channels in the scalp so the DERIVE formulation reaches below the surface rather than sitting on it.
The protocol is aimed at the condition of the scalp and the appearance of hair density. It is a cosmetic treatment, and it is not a treatment for medical hair loss. If your hair loss is sudden, patchy, or accompanied by other symptoms, that is a question for your family doctor or a dermatologist first.
Hair grows slowly, so this is unavoidably a long game. It is planned as a course over months, with realistic expectations set at the start.
How the protocol runs
Your practitioner examines the scalp and the pattern of thinning, and asks about duration, family history, medication and anything that changed around the time you first noticed it.
Microneedling passes are made across the treatment area at a depth set for scalp tissue, and the DERIVE formulation is applied while those channels are open.
Sessions are spaced across months because hair cycles slowly. Photographs at intervals are more reliable than memory for judging progress, and your practitioner will usually suggest them.
