This treatment uses the Diamond Polar applicator on our Viva MD platform. It is the gentler end of our tightening options: multi-polar radiofrequency combined with a pulsed magnetic field, delivered with no needles and no break in the skin.
Its real strength is the areas other devices struggle to reach comfortably: around the eyes, along the upper lip, the small zones where skin is thin and a heavier handpiece is awkward.
Because it is gentle, it is delivered as a course. Clients who want a single dramatic session are better suited to one of the stronger options, and your practitioner will say so rather than selling a longer course that was never going to meet the brief.
How Diamond Polar works
The applicator delivers multi-polar radiofrequency, which heats the dermis evenly and relatively gently, alongside a pulsed electromagnetic field intended to support the skin’s repair response.
Your practitioner works the handpiece over the area in slow, continuous movement, bringing the skin up to a therapeutic warmth and holding it there for a set period rather than pulsing hard.
Most clients find it comfortable enough to be pleasant; the usual description is a warm massage. There is no cooling-off period afterwards and no visible marking.

Yes, that is one of the reasons we use it. The applicator suits the thinner skin and tighter contours there, where heavier handpieces are difficult to apply comfortably.
Certain implanted devices, pregnancy and some skin conditions are contraindications for radiofrequency. Your practitioner goes through a full history at the consultation, which is why that step is not optional.
