About Triple Wavelength LHR
Triple Wavelength LHR
Our hair removal runs on a triple-wavelength platform. Different wavelengths reach different depths and are absorbed differently, so combining them in one pass means a single session can address hair of varying coarseness and depth rather than being optimised for one hair type.
That combination is also what makes the platform workable across a broader range of skin tones. Your practitioner selects and blends the wavelengths for your skin and your hair, and that selection is reviewed at every session rather than set once.
Laser hair removal acts on hair in its active growth phase, which is why it is always a course. Hairs cycle independently, so repeated sessions catch them at the right moment.
How the sessions work
At the consultation your practitioner assesses your skin tone and hair type, checks medication and sun history, and may carry out a patch test before a full session is booked.
On the day the area is shaved if needed, protective eyewear is worn, and the handpiece is passed over the area delivering pulses with integrated cooling.
Sessions are spaced to match the growth cycle of the area being treated. Facial hair and body hair do not run on the same clock, so the intervals differ.

Benefits of Triple Wavelength LHR
Triple Wavelength LHR at our Aldergrove clinic is planned around your skin. Here is what it is designed to do.
- 01Three wavelengths, one passCombining wavelengths lets a single session address hair of different depths and coarseness.
- 02Broader skin-tone rangeWavelength selection is what makes the platform suitable for a wider range of tones than single-wavelength systems.
- 03Fewer ingrowns over timeReducing hair in the treated area may reduce the ingrown hairs that shaving and waxing can cause.
Suitability

What to expect, step by step.
How a triple wavelength lhr appointment runs at the Aldergrove clinic.
- 01
Consultation and patch test
Skin tone, hair type, medication and sun exposure are assessed; a patch test may be done.
- 02
Prepare the area
The area is shaved if required and protective eyewear is fitted.
- 03
Treat
Pulses are delivered across the area with cooling, and comfort is checked throughout.
- 04
Schedule the course
Your next session is spaced to the growth cycle of that area.
Aftercare
- Avoid sun exposure and self-tanner on the treated area between sessions.
- No hot tubs, saunas or heavy workouts for twenty-four hours.
- Do not wax, pluck or thread between sessions: shaving only, so the follicle is still there to treat.

Frequently asked questions.
The questions clients ask us most about Triple Wavelength LHR.
Hair grows in cycles and only actively growing hair responds, so a course is always required. The number varies by area, hair type and hormonal factors, and your practitioner will give you a realistic range after assessing you rather than a fixed promise.
Wavelength choice is exactly what determines this, and a triple-wavelength platform gives your practitioner more to work with. Your skin is assessed individually, settings start conservative, and a patch test may be used before a full session.
Most clients describe a snapping sensation with the cooling taking the edge off. Comfort varies by area: places close to bone tend to be sharper. Tell your practitioner if it is too much; settings can be adjusted.
Waxing, plucking and threading remove the hair from the follicle, and the laser needs that hair present to work. Shaving is fine because it leaves the follicle intact.
