What follows over the next weeks and months is your own collagen response, which is why this treatment is always discussed as a course with intervals rather than a single visit.
It is designed for mild to moderate laxity. Your practitioner assesses whether there is enough structural support left for the treatment to work with, and will be straightforward if there is not.
How XERF works
A handpiece delivers radiofrequency energy through the surface into the deeper layers. Because radiofrequency heats tissue by resistance rather than by being absorbed by pigment, it can be used across a wider range of skin tones than many light-based devices.
Your practitioner works in passes across the mapped area, monitoring how the skin is heating and checking comfort as it goes. The surface is protected while the energy reaches the depth that matters.
Sessions are spaced to let the collagen response run. Stacking them too closely does not accelerate the outcome, and your practitioner will set the interval accordingly.
