About Intimate Brightening
Intimate Brightening
Intimate skin is thinner, more sensitive and more prone to irritation than skin elsewhere, which is why we use a protocol formulated for it rather than adapting a body treatment.
The approach comes from the same depigmentation family as our Dermamelan and Cosmelan protocols, in formulations intended specifically for intimate areas. Like those, it combines an in-clinic phase with a home phase that carries the result forward.
Darkening in these areas is extremely common and usually relates to friction, hormonal change or previous irritation. It is a cosmetic concern, and the appointment is handled with that in mind: discreetly and without fuss.
How the protocol runs
At the consultation your practitioner discusses the area, how long the change has been present, and anything that may be contributing, including hair removal method and clothing friction.
The in-clinic phase applies the depigmentation formulation to the area. Because the skin is delicate, application and timing are more conservative than a body protocol would be.
A home phase follows, with products specified for intimate skin and review appointments so the routine can be adjusted if there is any sensitivity.

Friction, hormonal change, pregnancy and previous irritation are all common contributors. It is a very common cosmetic concern. If anything about the area is itchy, painful, changing or has a discharge, that is a question for your family doctor first.
Like our other depigmentation protocols it includes a home phase measured in months. Your practitioner will set out the full timeline before you decide.
Not usually at the same time. Hair removal irritates the area, and irritation is one of the things driving the pigmentation. Your practitioner will tell you how to sequence the two.
